Urges the County of Maui and the United States Army Corps of Engineers to prioritize and expedite planning, funding, and construction of a permanent replacement for the Kulanihakoi Bridge in South Maui.

Notes that the Kulanihakoi Bridge, originally constructed in 1911 with four reinforced concrete box culverts, is 114 years old and has deteriorated, with replacement plans initiated in 2018.

Acknowledges that the initial replacement project faced delays due to proposed temporary road crossings being impermissible under existing flood development regulations, requiring project redesign.

Requests that the County of Maui and the Army Corps of Engineers engage with local communities, stakeholders, and experts to ensure the new bridge design addresses environmental concerns, cultural significance, and community needs.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Commander of the United States Army Corps of Engineers Pacific Ocean Division, Director of Transportation, Mayor of the County of Maui, and Chairperson of the Maui County Council.
