Urges Hawaii Department of Agriculture and Maui County Department of Agriculture to implement policies making USDA-certified inspectors, inspections, and processing facilities more accessible, capable, and affordable for local hunters to sell or gift venison.

Urges both departments to implement policies increasing the number of in-state USDA-certified meat inspectors for game mammals.

Requires the two departments to convene a joint task force to develop a Maui County program coordinating with USDA-certified processing facilities to make axis deer meat processing and community distribution affordable.

Requires the joint task force to submit a report on program accomplishments, barriers, findings, and recommendations to the Legislature by November 30, 2025.

Directs certified copies be transmitted to federal agricultural officials, Hawaii state leadership, Maui County officials, and the Maui County Council.
