Request for State Auditor to conduct impact assessment report on mandatory health insurance coverage for continuous glucose monitors as proposed by House Bill No. 820 (Regular Session of 2025).

Assessment must comply with Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 23-51 and 23-52, evaluating social and financial effects including specific health services covered, extent of coverage, target groups, utilization limitations, and care standards.

Auditor must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to convening of Regular Session of 2026.

Certified copies of resolution to be transmitted to the Auditor, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and Insurance Commissioner.

Background: approximately 108,600 adults (9.5% of adult population) in Hawaii live with diabetes; continuous glucose monitors provide real-time blood glucose data to prevent serious complications.
