Requests the Postmaster General of the United States Postal Service to build a new and larger Pearl City Post Office on federal United States Navy property at the entrance area of the Pearl City Peninsula across from Lehua Elementary School.

Current Pearl City Post Office located at the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Acacia Road experiences safety and traffic congestion concerns due to increased area development and retail activity since the facility was built in the 1970s.

Pearl City Post Office currently operates at maximum capacity with 75 employees, a motor pool of 75 vehicles with approximately 40 operating simultaneously, a lobby accommodating only 6-10 customers, and insufficient space for expanded postal boxes.

Increased parcel volume from online shopping and anticipated future transit-oriented development around the Honolulu rail system station will further strain the current facility's capacity.

Relocation to a larger facility with expanded parking would mitigate traffic and public safety issues at the current intersection and address overcrowding of packages at the warehouse.
