Current lessee Ho Retail Properties I, Ltd. has failed to properly maintain the property, causing persistent leaks, structural concerns, and significant deterioration that has led to store vacancies.

Directs the Department to resell the lease at fair market value to a new entity with a proven track record in commercial property management committed to proper maintenance.

Cites the declining property condition as undermining the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands' mission to manage assets for Native Hawaiian beneficiaries and negatively impacting local commerce and employment.

Requires transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Hawaiian Homes Commission.
