Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources to adopt a game management plan that incorporates ethical means of game population control as part of sustainability strategies.

References Act 315 (2022) which clarified that game mammals and birds provide sustainable food sources and that proper management of game populations benefits watershed areas by minimizing negative impacts.

Notes that the Department's 2024 report to the Legislature described opportunities for hunters to achieve success in controlling game populations and offsetting negative impacts to ecosystems.

Expresses concern that the Department may continue to employ unethical means of game population control rather than rely exclusively on hunting and other humane methods to prevent overpopulation.

Requires a certified copy of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources.
