Requests the Department of Education to provide students with information about changes to gun safety and storage laws in Hawaii.

Acknowledges that unsecured or improperly stored firearms increase risks of accidental injury, death, and firearm theft, particularly among children.

Notes that Hawaii and other states have passed or are considering secure storage laws to prevent unauthorized firearm access by children.

Directs the Department of Education to ensure parents and household members are informed about changes to gun safety requirements.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be sent to the Chairperson of the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Education.
