Mandates incorporation of the latest USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service soil data for Hawaii, creation of detailed digital soil maps, and development of a process for regular data updates

Requires collaboration with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and American Farmland Trust to align with national standards and best practices

Establishes a public review process for the updated soil data and draft maps, with final presentation to the legislature within 24 months of the effective date

Appropriates $400,000 from general revenues for fiscal year 2025-2026 to the Office of Planning and Sustainable Development for this work, effective July 1, 2025
