Requires health insurers to respond to State Medicaid inquiries about health care claims within 60 calendar days, for claims submitted within three years of service provision

Prohibits third party payers from denying Medicaid claims solely because prior authorization was not obtained for the item or service

Requires third party payers to accept authorization from the state medical assistance program as equivalent to their own prior authorization for covered items and services

Amends Hawaii law to comply with Section 202 of the federal Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022, which updated Social Security Act requirements for state Medicaid programs

Takes effect July 1, 3000 (placeholder date)
