Establishes an electric vehicle fires working group within the office of the state fire marshal to examine the impact of EV fires in residential, commercial, and business properties with confined parking structures, including potential insurance cost increases

Working group membership includes the state fire marshal (chair), insurance commissioner, comptroller, public utilities commission chair, and facility maintenance and building permitting representatives from each county

State fire marshal shall invite representatives from commercial parking structures and the condominium industry to join the working group

Report due to the legislature no later than 20 days before the 2027 regular session with recommendations on updating fire, building, and electrical codes, additional training for county fire departments, and proposed legislation

Working group terminates on June 30, 2027
