Hawaii-born individuals and Native Hawaiians would qualify for resident fees at state parks regardless of their current state of residence

Eligible individuals must present documentation to the Department of Land and Natural Resources: a Hawaii birth certificate with government-issued photo ID, a birth certificate establishing Native Hawaiian ancestry with photo ID, or a Native Hawaiian registration card from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs

The Board of Land and Natural Resources is required to adopt administrative rules to implement the new fee qualification process

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
