Amends Act 144 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2024) to explicitly authorize the Department of Human Services to interview alleged perpetrators and all adults living in the family home during child protective investigations

Requires all interviews of adults conducted during investigations of harm, threatened harm, or imminent harm to a child to be recorded by video or audio

Mandates that recorded adult interviews be saved in the case file and included in any petition for removal of a child

Updates statutory cross-references throughout sections 587A-9 and 587A-11 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to reflect the addition of the new interview recording requirement

Takes effect on July 1, 2025
