Appropriates $8,175,000 per year for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 for homeless programs, in addition to the Homeless Programs Office's existing base budget of $27,250,000

Addresses funding shortfalls for Department of Human Services homeless service contracts, which have had no significant funding increase for over 10 years despite rising operational costs

Funds homeless outreach, shelter, case management, and transitional/permanent housing services provided through contracted homeless service providers

Responds to concerns that without increased state funding, contracted providers may decline contracts or reduce essential services due to inability to cover actual service delivery costs

Takes effect July 1, 2025
