Amends Section 11-7.5 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to add job protection for the Chief Election Officer position

Requires that a Chief Election Officer who passes the standard state probationary period may only be terminated for cause

Adds the "terminated for cause" provision to two sections: the employment duty and the reappointment deliberation process of the Elections Commission

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
