Grants the Hawaii Attorney General authority to investigate nonprofit corporations for compliance with the Hawaii Nonprofit Corporations Act (Chapter 414D) and federal 501(c) tax-exempt status requirements

Allows investigations to be initiated by the Attorney General independently or at the request of the Department of Taxation

Adds a new section to Chapter 414D of the Hawaii Revised Statutes establishing this investigative power

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
