Establishes an Artificial Intelligence in Education Task Force within the University of Hawaii to develop statewide guidance for responsible AI integration in public schools and higher education institutions

Task force membership includes representatives from the University of Hawaii, Department of Education, Hawaii State Teachers Association, Hawaii Government Employees Association, charter schools, and independent schools, chaired by the executive director of Hawaiʻi P-20 Partnerships for Education

Required participants include students, a civil rights expert, data-privacy expert, Native Hawaiian education specialist, and technology/cybersecurity professionals

Task force must develop model AI guidance for instruction, data privacy and vendor transparency standards, digital equity recommendations for rural schools, professional development guidelines for educators, and a framework for evaluating student learning outcomes

Reports with findings and proposed legislation due to the legislature by December 1 of 2027, 2028, and 2029, with the task force dissolving December 31, 2029
