Requires health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations to cover brief cognitive assessment screenings for individuals 50 years of age and older during both routine and non-routine medical visits, effective January 1, 2027.

Cognitive assessments must use validated tools to evaluate memory, attention, language, and problem-solving abilities for early detection of dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Coverage may be subject to deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance consistent with similar benefits under the policy, and does not apply to limited benefit health insurance.

Applies to Medicaid managed care plans, requiring the Department of Human Services to submit necessary state plan amendments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Act takes effect July 1, 2026, with Medicaid provisions contingent upon federal approval of the state plan amendments.
