Prohibits nighttime spearfishing (after sunset or before sunrise) of uhu (parrotfish) and kala (bluespine unicornfish) in state marine waters around Oahu.

Bans the commercial sale on Oahu of any uhu or kala that has been taken by spearing.

Restrictions are temporary and remain in effect until the Division of Aquatic Resources' Holomua Marine Initiative implements new regulations to recover fish populations to levels that prevent seaweed from smothering coral reefs.

Effective date is July 1, 2026.
