Establishes a School Psychologists Working Group within the Hawaii Department of Education to develop a pathway to licensure for school psychologists, as Hawaii is currently the only state without certification or licensure for this profession.

Working group members include the Superintendent of Education, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and Attorney General, or their designees.

Additional invited members include representatives from the Hawaii Association of School Psychologists, National Association of School Psychologists Hawaii delegate, Board of Psychology, and other stakeholders.

Working group must submit findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the legislature no later than 20 days before the 2027 regular session convenes.

Working group ceases to exist on July 31, 2027, with members serving without compensation but receiving expense reimbursement.
