Eliminates the statute of limitations for sexual assault in the third and fourth degrees, allowing prosecution at any time after the offense is committed.

Currently, only sexual assault in the first and second degrees have no time limitation; this bill expands that protection to include all four degrees of sexual assault.

Other offenses that already have no statute of limitations include murder, attempted murder, criminal conspiracy or solicitation to commit murder, sex trafficking, and continuous sexual assault of a minor under 14.

The changes do not apply retroactively to rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that were established before the bill's effective date.
