Upgrades unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle from a class C felony to a class B felony when property damage to the vehicle is $500 or more and was intentionally or recklessly caused

Creates enhanced penalties for repeat offenders who have been convicted of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle within the previous five years

Defines "property damage" to include physical damage requiring repair or replacement of windows, windshields, locks, doors, ignition components, or other vehicle parts

Takes effect July 1, 2026
