Exempts commercial measuring devices used in taxicabs from mandatory inspection and testing by the Hawaii Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity Measurement Standards Branch

Amends Section 486-105 of Hawaii Revised Statutes, which currently requires the department to inspect all measurement standards and devices used for determining charges, payments, or taxes based on measurement

Current law requires testing of devices used to compute charges for services rendered on the basis of measure, including taxi fare meters

Makes minor technical corrections to existing statute, including punctuation and capitalization changes

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
