Requires employers to provide all employees a paid rest period of at least 10 consecutive minutes for every four hours worked, to be taken in the middle of each work period when practicable

Employers who fail to provide required rest periods must pay the employee one hour of additional pay at their regular rate for each workday a rest period is not provided

Employers violating the rest period requirement are subject to a fine (amount unspecified in bill) for each violation, enforced by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations

Exempts employees covered by collective bargaining agreements under Chapter 89 and their excluded counterparts

Effective date of July 1, 3000 (placeholder date indicating further amendment needed before implementation)
