Requires mortuaries and pre-need funeral authorities entering cremation service contracts on or after October 1, 2025, to include written notice provisions if precious metals are recovered after cremation

Purchasers must be given 30 days after receiving written notice to claim any recovered precious metals from jewelry, medical devices, or dental implants

After the 30-day period, mortuaries or pre-need funeral authorities may sell or recycle the unclaimed precious metals

Failure to include the required notice provisions and disclosures in cremation contracts constitutes a violation of the law

"Purchaser" is defined to include the contract beneficiary or authorized agent legally entitled to control disposition of human remains
