Expands the scope of practice for licensed occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech pathologists employed by or contracted with the Department of Education to diagnose medical conditions treatable by their respective therapy services for students in educational settings

Removes the requirement for DOE therapists to obtain a physician's prescription before providing services, enabling the Department of Education to claim reimbursement for therapy services more effectively

Defines occupational therapy services in educational settings to include evaluating student needs, developing treatment plans, providing motor and sensory interventions, adapting classroom environments, and recommending assistive technology

Defines physical therapy services to include assessing physical abilities, developing treatment plans, improving strength and mobility, adapting physical education activities, and recommending adaptive equipment

Effective date set for July 1, 3000 (placeholder date indicating the bill needs further amendment before implementation)
