Requires corporations, organizations, or individuals in commercial transactions to clearly disclose to consumers when they are interacting with an AI chatbot or other technology capable of mimicking human behavior

Requires developers who sell, offer for sale, advertise, or make available AI chatbots to disclose that their products use artificial intelligence and can simulate human conversation

Small businesses that unknowingly use AI chatbots are exempt from violations if they comply after receiving notice and a reasonable opportunity to do so

Allows injured persons to sue for damages with a minimum recovery of $1,000 or triple actual damages, plus attorney's fees; class action damages capped at $10,000,000

Establishes civil penalties up to $5,000,000 for violations and authorizes the attorney general and director of consumer protection to seek injunctive relief

Effective date of July 1, 3000 (placeholder date indicating further legislative action needed)
