Requires the Department of Human Services to automatically enroll federal Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients into Hawaii's Medicaid program within 30 days of receiving eligibility notification from the Social Security Administration

Prohibits requiring SSI participants to submit a separate application or meet additional criteria to enroll in Medicaid

Authorizes the department to enter into agreements with the Social Security Administration for automatic enrollment, as permitted under Section 1634 of the Social Security Act

Requires the Department of Human Services to submit progress reports to the legislature by 40 days before the 2026 and 2027 regular sessions

Hawaii is currently among the minority of states that do not automatically enroll SSI recipients in Medicaid; 33 states plus Washington D.C. already have automatic enrollment
