Increases the pesticide buffer zone around schools from 100 feet to one-half mile for restricted use pesticide applications during normal school hours

Exempts whole structure fumigation from the buffer zone requirement

Creates a new exemption allowing restricted use pesticides within the buffer zone for invasive species control conducted by the Department of Agriculture or University of Hawaii Pacific Cooperative Studies Unit invasive species committees

Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes section 149A-28, with the more restrictive provision applying if the buffer zone conflicts with pesticide label instructions

Takes effect upon approval
