Requests the Department of Human Services to convene a task force to increase community care foster family home accessibility for private-pay individuals, with recommendations due 20 days before the 2027 legislative session.

Current law limits community care foster family homes to a maximum of one private-pay client, with exceptions only for married couples or those in civil unions who meet specific conditions.

Task force would develop recommendations for expediting applications for married/civil union couples seeking to reside together and increasing availability for unrelated private-pay individuals to share the same home.

Task force membership includes the Director of Human Services (chair), Director of Health, Med-QUEST Division Administrator, and representatives from adult residential care, home health care, and case management organizations.

Department of Human Services is requested to publish annual statistics on applications from private-pay couples seeking to reside together in community care foster family homes and application outcomes.
