Requests the Hawaii Youth Symphony President and CEO to convene an Arts Data and Mapping Task Force to survey entities engaged in arts and arts education statewide and develop a comprehensive database and GIS map.

Task force membership includes 14 representatives from organizations including Hawaii Arts Alliance, Hawaii Community Foundation, State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Department of Education, legislative committees, and neighbor island arts programs.

Task force responsibilities include designing a statewide survey of public/private schools, nonprofits, and businesses engaged in arts; identifying programs, populations served, and geographic distribution; and creating a publicly accessible GIS map.

Interim report on music and dance findings due 20 days before the 2028 Regular Session; final report with recommendations and proposed legislation on arts in general due 20 days before the 2030 Regular Session.

Database will identify availability and geographic distribution of arts education opportunities but will not measure quality, outcomes, or effectiveness of programs.
