Cites concerns that aging and outdated playground equipment may increase injury risks due to equipment wear or inadequate safety surfacing.

Emphasizes that active play on playgrounds supports childhood brain development, motor skills, social connections, and healthy lifestyle habits for children of all income levels.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be sent to the Mayor of Honolulu and the Director of Parks and Recreation.
