Hawaii Emergency Management Agency is requested to assist in organizing a statewide summit of organizations working on community resilience hubs to enhance disaster preparedness across the state.

Vibrant Hawaii and Community Engagement for Resilient Neighborhoods are requested to lead summit organization, coordinating with relevant organizations on Oahu and statewide engaged in resilience hub initiatives.

Community resilience hubs serve as centers for coordination, resources, and information before, during, and after natural or human-caused disasters to help residents prepare and protect lives and property.

Hawaii Emergency Management Agency is requested to provide technical assistance, subject matter expertise, and support for summit planning and coordination.

A report with findings and recommendations on establishing community resilience hubs, including proposed legislation, is requested to be submitted to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2027 Regular Session.
