Requests the Department of Education to adopt policies and procedures authorizing public schools to store and administer oral antihistamines in secure but accessible locations for students with documented allergies.

Students eligible for administration must have a current allergy response protocol from a licensed physician or authorized health care provider and written parental or guardian consent on file.

School personnel administering oral antihistamines would be required to complete training on recognizing allergic reaction symptoms, proper medication administration, emergency procedures, and documentation requirements.

Department of Education is requested to develop standardized forms for parental consent and allergy response protocols to ensure consistency across schools statewide.

Department of Education must report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2027 on actions taken, including findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation.
