Requests the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents to consider renaming Leeward Community College to Puʻuloa Community College to reflect the area's cultural and historical significance.

Puʻuloa holds deep cultural importance within the ʻEwa district on Oʻahu, containing the highest concentration of traditional loko iʻa (fishponds) and associations with Hawaiian moʻolelo including guardian shark traditions.

Leeward Community College is located within the historic Puʻuloa region, encompassing areas of Waiawa and Lualualei, and aspires to be a leading indigenous-serving institution with a strong Hawaiian sense of place.

Encourages the Board of Regents to consult with campus leadership, faculty, students, alumni, and community stakeholders when considering the name change.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be sent to the UH Board of Regents Chairperson, UH President, and Leeward Community College Chancellor.
