Requests the Department of Human Services to convene a task force to increase community care foster family home accessibility for private-pay individuals, addressing current law that limits homes to only one private-pay client at a time.

Current statute requires most community care foster family home clients to be Medicaid recipients, with exceptions only for married couples or civil union partners who are both private-pay.

Task force would develop recommendations for expediting applications for married/civil union couples seeking to live together and expanding availability so two unrelated private-pay individuals could reside in the same home.

Task force membership includes the Directors of Human Services and Health, Med-QUEST Division Administrator, and representatives from adult residential care homes, home health care operators, and case management agencies.

Requires the task force to submit findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2027 Regular Session.
