Hawaii Emergency Management Agency is requested to assist in organizing a statewide summit of organizations working on community resilience hubs to improve disaster preparedness.

Vibrant Hawaii and Community Engagement for Resilient Neighborhoods are requested to lead summit organization, coordinating with relevant organizations on Oahu and statewide.

Community resilience hubs serve as centers for coordination, resources, and information before, during, and after natural or human-caused emergencies.

Hawaii Emergency Management Agency is requested to provide technical assistance and submit a report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2027.
