Hawaii's House of Representatives endorses Taiwan's participation as an observer in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, International Civil Aviation Organization, and International Criminal Police Organization.

The resolution encourages the United States Trade Representative to begin negotiations for a double taxation avoidance agreement with Taiwan to strengthen bilateral trade and investment.

Hawaii commemorates its 33rd anniversary of sister-state relations with Taiwan, a relationship established in 1993 that includes cooperation in tourism, agriculture, culture, education, and sports.

Taiwan contributed $500,000 to Hawaii following the 2023 Maui wildfires, demonstrating the ongoing partnership between the two entities.

Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to the Presidents of Taiwan and the United States, Congressional leaders, Hawaii's Governor, and other officials.
