Requests the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to establish a Destination Management Task Force to address tourism impacts at high-use sites across Hawaii

Task force membership would include House and Senate tourism committee chairs as co-chairs, plus representatives from DBEDT, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Governor's Office, each county mayor, and two visitor industry representatives

Task force responsibilities include reviewing the Hawaii Tourism Authority's Strategic Plan, improving state-county coordination on destination management, and developing partnerships to manage visitor hotspots

Addresses gaps in current tourism management, as the Hawaii Tourism Authority lacks authority to directly control land use, transportation, or infrastructure affecting visitor behavior and impacts on cultural and environmental resources

Report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation due to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2027 Regular Session
