Requests the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents to consider renaming Leeward Community College to Puʻuloa Community College to reflect the cultural and historical significance of the area

Puʻuloa holds deep cultural importance within the ʻEwa district of Oʻahu, featuring the highest concentration of traditional loko iʻa (fishponds) and associations with guardian shark moʻolelo (stories)

Leeward Community College is physically located within the historic Puʻuloa region, encompassing areas of Waiawa and Lualualei

Encourages the Board of Regents to consult with campus leadership, faculty, students, alumni, and community stakeholders before making any decision

Directs certified copies be sent to the UH Board of Regents Chairperson, UH President, and Leeward Community College Chancellor
