Working group co-chaired by the chief energy officer and director of health, with members including representatives from EV manufacturing, automotive repair, energy storage, e-waste recycling, electric utilities, and environmental organizations

Requires analysis of opportunities and barriers to battery reuse, repurposing as energy storage systems, and recycling options, including cost comparisons of in-state versus out-of-state processing

Report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation due to the legislature no later than 20 days before the 2027 regular session
