Department of Accounting and General Services must identify all state-owned buildings with space and capability to establish child care centers, excluding buildings leased to non-state entities and educational facilities

DAGS must submit a report listing identified buildings to the legislature no later than 20 days before the 2026 regular session convenes

DAGS must establish and administer child care centers in identified state-owned buildings, contracting with state-licensed child care providers through the procurement process

Beginning January 1, 2026, all bids for new state building construction and major renovation projects must include a designated area for a child care center
