Appropriates unspecified funds from general revenues for fiscal year 2026-2027 to the Hawaii Invasive Species Council for controlling and eradicating invasive species statewide

Funds would support species-specific response teams on each island targeting high-impact pests including little fire ants, coqui frogs, and coconut rhinoceros beetles

Additional funding would support research projects at the University of Hawaii and other institutions to develop new detection, prevention, and management tools for invasive species

A portion of funding would be reserved for rapid response efforts to new pest incursions

The Department of Land and Natural Resources would administer the appropriated funds, with an effective date of July 1, 2050
