Establishes a Nuclear Energy Task Force within the Hawaii State Energy Office to study the feasibility of using advanced nuclear power technologies in the state

Task force membership includes the chief energy officer (chair), director of health, board of land and natural resources chairperson, legislative committee chairs, public utilities commission representative, and a University of Hawaii nuclear energy expert

Additional invited members include a U.S. Navy representative with nuclear expertise, a public utility representative, a nuclear energy/waste disposal expert, and an environmental organization representative

Task force must evaluate benefits, risks, and barriers (regulatory, statutory, financial, social, environmental) to developing nuclear power and identify short-term and long-term nuclear energy goals for Hawaii

Interim report due 20 days before the 2026 legislative session; final report due 40 days before the 2027 session; task force dissolves December 31, 2027
