HI SB2050

Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 442-2 to create an exception allowing chiropractic students enrolled in qualified chiropractic colleges to engage in clinical practice as part of their educational program.

Students must be under the direct supervision of a qualified licensed chiropractor while performing clinical practice.

Requires the Hawaii Board of Chiropractic to adopt rules defining "clinical practice" and establishing criteria for qualifying chiropractic colleges and supervising licensed chiropractors.

The student clinical practice provision takes effect on July 1, 2028, with the overall Act effective December 31, 2050.
