Exempts domestic abuse victims from mandatory mediation in contested parentage proceedings unless the victim authorizes it, a trained mediator provides specialized safety protections, and supporting persons are permitted to attend.

Requires mediators receiving court referrals to screen for domestic abuse and prohibits mediation if abuse is alleged unless specific safety conditions are met.

Prohibits courts from requiring mediation when a temporary restraining order or protective order is in effect between the parties.

Amends existing divorce proceeding mediation exemptions to replace "spousal abuse" and "family violence" terminology with "domestic abuse" as defined in section 586-1.

Applies the same three-part mediation conditions to both parentage and divorce proceedings involving custody or visitation disputes with domestic abuse allegations.
