HI SB2196

Expands the Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) board of directors from eleven to twelve members by adding the executive director of the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) as an ex officio voting member.

Allows both the director of human services and the HHFDC executive director to designate representatives to serve on the board in their place.

Increases the quorum requirement from six to seven members for the board to take official action.

Prohibits the HHFDC executive director from serving as chairperson of the board, along with the existing prohibition on the director of human services and governor's representative.

Takes effect upon approval by the governor.
