Elevates bribery involving elected or appointed officials (those whose salaries are set by the state commission on salaries) from a class B felony to a class A felony without possibility of probation or sentence suspension.

Creates enhanced class A felony penalties when the value of bribes exceeds $50,000 within a three-year period under a single scheme or course of conduct.

Prohibits deferred acceptance of guilty or nolo contendere pleas for all bribery convictions under chapter 853.

Defines "public servant" to include persons who have been elected, appointed, or designated to become public servants but have not yet taken office.

Takes effect March 22, 2075.
