Adds a new offense category for recklessly causing serious or substantial bodily injury to a law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of duty as first-degree assault against a law enforcement officer (class C felony)

Increases the minimum mandatory imprisonment term under probation from 30 days to 6 months for first-degree assault against a law enforcement officer

Establishes a minimum 1-year imprisonment term without possibility of suspension for convictions involving reckless causation of serious or substantial bodily injury to officers

Maintains existing offenses of intentionally/knowingly causing bodily injury or recklessly/negligently causing bodily injury with a dangerous instrument to on-duty law enforcement officers

Effective date set for March 22, 2075
