Expands criminal trespass in the first degree on school premises by removing the requirement for a warning or request to leave during weekends and school holidays, in addition to the existing 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. timeframe

Amends Section 708-813 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to strengthen trespassing penalties at public and private schools

Aims to enhance safety for students and school employees by giving the Department of Education stronger deterrence tools against violent misconduct on school premises

Takes effect upon approval and does not affect rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that existed before the effective date
