Elevates bribery from a class B felony to a class A felony without possibility of probation or suspended sentence when the public servant is an elected or appointed official and the pecuniary benefit exceeds $50,000

Creates enhanced penalties when a person commits three or more acts of bribery within a three-year period with aggregate value exceeding $50,000

Prohibits persons convicted of bribery from receiving deferred acceptance of guilty plea or nolo contendere plea under chapter 853

Maintains existing bribery definitions covering both offering bribes to public servants and public servants accepting bribes with intent to influence official actions

Applies prospectively only, not affecting rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that began before the effective date
